Prevention

Configured and monitored, without downtime

Server administration is first and foremost about prevention. We configure systems around the way your company works, continuously monitor server performance and load, run backups and keep everything up to date. We check mail queues and databases daily, and provide both remote and on-site support, ready to react quickly when something breaks.

Security

Data protection built into daily operations

Data security is built in: we deploy anti-virus and anti-spam protection, install and renew SSL certificates, and set access restrictions in line with applicable regulations. We also optimise web and email services, from auditing your website or online store to fixing faults and tuning backup routines.

Virtualization

More from the hardware you own

We virtualize servers and workstations, decoupling the hardware layer from the application layer. The result: better use of your computing power, higher service availability and lower management costs. We can demonstrate the right direction for your infrastructure on a working test environment.

How we work

How we start

The same path whether we start with a single server or the whole infrastructure.

  1. 1

    Need

We listen to what hurts and what must change.

  2. 2

    Analysis

We map the infrastructure, risks and dependencies.

  3. 3

    Plan

A clear scope, sequence and a way back.

  4. 4

    Delivery

Changes in maintenance windows, without chaos.

  5. 5

    Operations

    Monitoring, response and planned evolution.

FAQ

Before you ask

What do you actually do with our servers day to day?

We keep failures from happening. We watch performance and load continuously, check things like mail queues and databases every day, run backups and keep systems updated. We work remotely and on site.

Is virtualisation worth it for us?

Usually yes, because it gets more out of the hardware you already own. Virtualisation separates the hardware layer from the application layer, so availability goes up and the cost of running the environment goes down. We can show you the direction on a working test environment first.
